Cronk's Having Problems, Feds Harassing David Pellow and National Day of Solidarity for Scott DeMuth

Assistant U.S. Attorney Clifford R. Cronk III seems to be having some problems. Back on June 14, Judge Thomas J. Shields ordered him to provide the evidence from the second superseding indictment against Scott DeMuth that he hadn’t already coughed up. Shields also ordered him to provide a number of particulars about the indictment, including exactly what Scott is alleged to have done that is illegal, whom he is alleged to have done it with, and when he is alleged to have done it. You know, basics like that. Cronk had until June 21 to hand over that info.

Belated Court Update on the RNC 8 from the June Hearing

Wednesday, June 9th was the fifth and last day of the RNC 8 motion hearings.

Judge Warner rejected the defense’s motion to call FBI informant Andrew Darst, and with that the oral arguments of the probable cause hearing ended. Both sides will submit further written arguments and the judge will take the issues under advisement after July 14th, determining whether there is probable cause to charge the defendants at all. If she determines that there is not enough evidence to determine probable cause, the charges will be thrown out.

Brown Unity: Take Down the Fort & National Day of Action Against SB 1070 Saturday

Saturday is not just the National Day of Action against Arizona law SB1070, which has already seen widespread national protest.  Locally, it's also the opening day of Fort Snelling, a flagship tourist attraction for white Minnesotans and former concentration camp site.  Dakota and indigenous peoples will march to the fort on Saturday, joining a separate march of immigrants and allies which kicks off the Boycott Arizona--Minnesota (BAM!) Campaign.  Both groups will convene around noon.  Details below
